The Inquirer reviews the XPC SN45G
The Inquirer, a hard-hitting PC news, reviews and frictional facts website, has posted a review of Shuttle’s XPC SN45G. Extending their already infamous benchmarking/testing procedure to a phenomenal seven months, the XPC SN45G proved itself a top-performing SFF computer.
“This machine is a great platform for Athlon XP CPU’s,” enthused The Inquirer's Fudo Abazovic. “[I]f you want an XPC and want to be able to plug FSB 400 CPUs up to 3200+, this is definitely a system that you should consider.”
Based on NVIDIA’s powerful nForce2 Ultra 400 chipset, the XPC SN45G also delivers support for high-bandwidth dual-channel DDR 400 memory and excellent performance-boosting overclocking. The Inquirer even “gained some serious speed notches” (overclocking) with very little effort.
¨The machine ran a RADEON 9800PRO with an external power plug fine,” said Fudo. “We send our compliments to the designers of the power supply unit, capable of powering all these devices.”
This excellent SFF computer is among the best AMD-compatibles on the market for overclocking, because of its excellent built-in tools and rock-solid stability. High-level performance and Shuttle's classic 'G' series enclosure have made the SN45G one of Shuttle's top-selling models.
